Chess; being an example of a common board game, has been expanded greatly. From the small strategical board to the human sized giant pieced version. Also the whole idea of the "chessboard" has inspired interior design and artwork.

Board to Video/Computer games

These many board games have been transformed onto our TV and computer screens. You can now play chess, backgammon, monopoly, snakes and ladders, and many more all from the comfort of your chair - without the need for mess or set-up. Some might consider this a lazy way of re-living childhood memories, but others would say it's both creative and genius.
